This weekend we were invited to meet up with some of our family for my cousins Birthday.
Since his birthday wasn’t until the Sunday we decided to make a weekend of it and set off on the Saturday, stopping along the way to explore Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Stratford-Upon-Avon!
We were up and on the road early so the first thing we did on arrival was find somewhere for some BREAKFAST!
Hello…Boston Tea Party! (BTP)
Pictured above is a bit of Eggy Bread with bacon, avocado and tomato.
Then we have a bit more of a weird and wonderful dish – Sweetcorn Hash with halloumi, poached eggs, avocado, tomatoes, coriander and tabasco maple syrup.
Washed down with the Breakfast Smoothie- made of raspberries, dates, banana, oat milk, chia seeds and maple Syrup. Hash tag HEALTH!
And with a good old substantial meal down the hatch we went for a look around.
Like most medieval market towns, Stratford-Upon-Avon is very quaint, filled with pretty buildings and quirky little shops.

Obviously proud of its 16th Century history, with reminders everywhere we looked!

We had a loose “to do” list for the day which included…
1.Stratford-Upon-Avon Butterfly Farm

This was a cool little stop we made…
A mechanical art design gallery- filled with different wonderful creations designed by clever minds from around the world!
The whole place (although very clever) was also just such fun to look at AND completely interactive…so Miya was well away!
3. TEA!
Stratford-Upon-Avon was bursting with Tea Rooms!
We were overwhelmed with choice…
HOWEVER…
I felt like today’s just had to be Hathaway Tea Rooms!
I had a pot of the Hathaway Blend -of course!
We also paid a visit to HUFFKINS Bakery before hand as Miya had spotted their Bake Well Tarts when we arrived at 10am and was still dead set on NEEDING ONE 5 hours later!
So we snuck it into Hathaways and (discreetly) shared it with our tea 🙂
All in all a bloody lovely day spent and I would definitely like to return!
Thank you Stratford-Upon-Avon, you served us well!
