A Day in London (with a 6 Year Old)

A Saturday Well Spent!

Ok so let me set the scene real quick…

It’s around 1pm on a beautiful and sunny Saturday 1st September…

So far me and Miya have:

-Watched Pocahontas in bed

-Set ourselves up with a bacon and egg sandwich

-Done a spot of painting

& are finally dressed with a whole day of fun still ahead of us!

Miya rocking a pineapple tee and dunga-dress combo, a head full of pompoms and some trusty Sketchers. And me in my new fave pair of M&S Mom Jeans, a Primark rainbow crop, Old School Vans and a Pineapple head!

Tottenham Court Road -19 stops and counting!

With breakfast feeling like a distant memory we were starving when we arrived.

Both craving pizza for lunch we made our way to Pizza Pilgrims!

A Margherita to share, coke for me ( because you HAVE to drink coke with pizza, don’t even @ me) and a water for the water baby. SOLD

edf

And as you can see, it went down a TREAT!

Miya usually leaves her crust if she has pizza but she ate it all this time and in her review she stated that it was “nice and soft”.

In crust we trust indeed, Pizza Pilgrims!

Nutella Pizza Ring for dessert!

Miya only managed a quarter of our pizza so I was surprised when she said she “couldn’t wait to try the Nutella Pizza Ring”…

I was like, hold on a minute I thought you were full? If we order this are you going to be able to stomach HALF?

Her face dropped- heartbroken at the idea this Nutella Pizza Ring might not be happening and quietly said “I am still hungry for that though” *Insert sorrowful face here*

And who was I kidding- Pizza dough stuffed with Nutella and Salted Ricotta? I wanted to try it too!

So I told her that if she didn’t eat her half, SHE was paying for dinner (joking obviously)…but after nervously asking me “are you serious though? Cause I’ve only got £20 pocket money with me” she accepted the challenge! lol

edf

It arrived…

edf

We halved it

edf

It was sexy…

edf

And without even the slightest sign of struggle…dinner was on me!

Easy money!

Time to hit LUSH

“Hi, my names Jordan and I’m a Lushaholic”

Practicing self-care a lot more recently (for me) includes a nice old bubble bath and chill.

Sometimes it’s a lot more on the zen side, with a book or my favourite YouTube channels ready to go and a cup of tea…

Other times Miya jumps in and shakes things up ( from meatball to mermaid!)

But one thing that never changes…is LUSH!

LUSH always makes it to the party!

A bath bomb on a special day or just a bit of a bubble bar …and we’re good to go.

Naturally Miya’s obsessed too (because she’s supportive AF)

So whenever we’re nearby or get a whiff of that heavenly scent…we can’t resist popping in!

Saturday was no different and since Pizza Pilgrims was only a short walk from Oxford Street Lush, we stopped by and topped up our stash!

Here’s what we left with!

dav
GRASS | CYANIDE PILL | BRIGHTSIDE | I’M FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES | CANDY BUBBLE BRUSH | MINT BUBBLE BRUSH | LEMON BUBBLE BRUSH

Tourist Baby!

I figured I couldn’t put a child friendly day in London together without throwing M&M’s World in there somewhere!

And once again it was a reasonable walking distance from LUSH so again- OFF WE SET!

Miya prefers to be behind the camera (which is super helpful for me as I’m trying to make sure I show my own face in my posts more these days!). The perfect BLOG BUDDY!

So cool!

We then met up with my good friend and her clan! (one of which is my Goddaughter Rosie)

And Miya had some little company!

cof
I bloody love them!

This last photo is where our journey ends! (and my phone dies)

We took the kids to The Rainforest Café for dinner

Miya had the kids mac ‘n’ cheese (and ate every last bit) and I had chicken, goats cheese, green beans and mash with a mushroom sauce. Aka Aztek Chicken, which was DEEEEELICIOUS!

Although our food was really yummy and there was lots of it, it’s rather overpriced so we hunted down a 15% off coupon online, because ya know… every little helps and all that!

cof

Before we knew it 9pm had struck and we were ready to jump back on the train and head home sweet home.

Waving goodbye to Bryony and the kids and already thinking of a date to meet up and to do it all again!

🙂

I had a break from my Fitbit that day but I kinda wish I had worn it now because we didn’t use the train except for getting there and back and walked way more than I expected we would! Especially since I was with Miya!

She didn’t complain once though and like a little old lady, she credited her sketchers for that lol!

I really want to get her a Fitbit because I’d be SO curious to know just how many more steps those little legs do compared to mine!

But anyway…that’s a post for another day, I’m blabbing on now…

Thank you so much if you’ve made it this far, I really hope you enjoy reading about our day as much as we did living it!

Peace OUT x
