Halloween Cookies
The super simple recipe we followed was…
-220g of butter
-100g of caster sugar
-270g of plain flour
& that’s it!
Basically I stole a recipe form BBC Good Food and roughly followed it- adding a bag of “Scary Smarties” (but I’d add some extra chocolate chips next time)
THEN, we…
–Softened the butter with a wooden spoon in a bowl and mixed in the caster sugar
-Sifted in the flour and mixed it all together until it formed a dough like texture
-Added the smarties and then (using our hands) formed dough balls with the mixture, placed them onto a baking tray on top of some baking paper and popped them in the oven for about 20 minutes.
(cookies usually take between 10-15 minutes to bake but they were rather large dough balls so they took a little longer)
We then left them to cool (well we were meant to but Miya dived in claiming that were “fine” whilst struggling to keep hold of one!) and finally used malteasers, icing and sugar eyes for decoration!
FINALLY- put your phone on silent, leave it in another room, pour yourself a cold glass of milk, get comfy, dunk and enjoy!
